Marine universe
My marine works immerse the viewer in a sensitive aquatic universe, populated by organic forms inspired by corals, tunicates, and other underwater life. During my freediving or diving sessions, I seek out secret and forgotten places—caverns, submerged structures—where light, textures, and reliefs become material for creation. Through shots taken with specialized equipment, I capture the essence of these fragile worlds: their silence, their metamorphoses, their poetry. These images nourish a painting where abstraction blends with figuration, and where grotesque, strange, almost living forms emerge. At the heart of this series, polyps—architects of the reefs—embody the quiet force of life that persists, transforms, and resists. Through this pictorial immersion, I wish to evoke the profound beauty of the ocean, while awakening awareness of its slow disappearance.
