Coral bowl
Coral Bowl is a glazed terracotta clay sculpture inspired by the living, undulating forms of the seabed. Handcrafted, its surface is covered with organic reliefs reminiscent of corals and anemones, like a fragment of reef brought to the surface. The black and white glaze accentuates the textures, capturing a natural movement in a raw material that is both ancient and sensitive. This work invites contemplation, somewhere between the marine world and the imaginary, between scorched earth and underwater life. "This bowl, like a fragment of a beached reef, retains in its burnt flesh the memory of the oceans. From the ancestral terracotta emerge the organisms of another world: corals, anemones, perhaps memories of a submerged future."
